Accessibility
This web portal has been developed following guidelines and techniques which will allow web content to be accessible to all people regardless of their physical condition or work environment.
These projects are in compliance with conformance level A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 1.0 - May 1999), Published by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) and have been run on different platforms, browsers and technologies.
The following tests have been run:
BROWSER COMPATABILITY
The portal has been checked with the following browsers:
Windows Operating Systems:
• Internet Explorer 6.0
• Internet Explorer 7.0
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0
Linux Operating Systems:
• Mozilla Firefox
CSS
Custom style sheets are used to visualize contents. Moreover, styles are defined by CSS and not by page source code.
Web content will appear even though user browser doesn’t accept style sheets.
LANGUAGE
Language, as well as any language change within a same text, is shown while content is visualized by browser.
VALIDATION
The following validations have been made to conform to level A of WAI guidelines:
• Automatic validation.
TAW (Web Accessibility Test) tools have been used to automatically validate content accessibility.
• Human Review validation.
Page codes were manually reviewed to test correct use of Portal.
